At MRC, couples have the option to book wedding celebrations for an entire weekend or a single day. We are a seasonal venue, hosting weddings from May through October. We book just one event per day, offering you and your guests exclusive use of any of our venue spaces.
Wedding Rates
Our lush Ceremony Circle, nestled up to the apple orchard, sits beneath one of the oldest maple groves in Massachusetts, with a stunning view across the valley. Our gorgeous Stone Patio features a permanent 40’ x 50’ reception tent and a 75’ long stone bench retaining wall. Our elegant, yet rustic, Great Hall Barn features chestnut beams, bamboo floors, lots of glass and geothermal cooling. Our VIP suite, in a wing of our Great Hall Barn, offers a place for you and your wedding party to get ready and relax.
Other Montague Retreat Center amenities include 10 on-site accommodations, a VIP wedding suite, an onsite yurt, an ADA-compliant lift, and accessible restrooms. Two streams run through the property and the Robert Frost Trail is within walking distance.

Catering at MRC
Wheelhouse
When it comes to food and beverage, our couples work with our exclusive caterer, Wheelhouse. Offering farm fresh food made from scratch, Wheelhouse crafts menus that honor both the origin of the ingredients and highlight the creativity of their chefs. Nearly all of Wheelhouse's produce, meat, dairy, and grain are sourced from local farms!
Wedding catering packages include a custom-written menu featuring passed and stationary appetizers, a plated first course, a buffet, plated, or family-style main course, and dessert served alongside coffee and tea.
